I’m particularly satisfied with the effect I was able to achieve for the tail of my phoenix, I wanted it to look like crackling flames and I think it tuned out wonderful! To contrast the dark and rich color of the bird, I added a little bit of gold and silver paint – it give a nice, yet discreet, shine and helps the feathers to pop! The sides of the canvas are painted black, it make the piece feel luxurious and polished – especially with the little touch of gold.
