I’m Annabelle, a home-schooled Canadian with a passion for art.
I’ve been an artist for as long as I can remember. Creating is satisfying — it’s magic to see my imagination take life right before my eyes.
My art’s purpose? Spreading joy.
Every day is not smiles and blue skies, and art is my way to create what some days may lack. My favorite thing to do is bring joyful characters to life. I believe in and value the little things that bring us smiles, as simple they may be, and hope my art will brighten your day as much as it brighten mine.
Although I really like all kinds of media, my favorites must be acrylic and LEGO bricks. I particularly like to create animal-inspired and fantastical artworks.
Some of you may know me as ColonelCandy — that’s my LEGO artist name (and my online nickname). If you are part of the LEGO community you might also have seen some of my MOCs (My Own Creations) like my popular Jim Henson’s Labyrinth project.
Apart from art, I like reading, fantasy, murder mysteries, nature and animals. Frogs are my favorite animals so be prepared for an invasion!
