Why is it titled Morning Moth? Good question! Not only is it a moth (nocturnal butterfly) which is painted in a bright colored scene very likely to be set in daylight, but this piece have also been started when the first rays of the sun made their appearance.
It’s a elegant painting of which the round shape enhance the delicateness. Gold leaves have been added to the flowers for a bit of shine, as well as discreetly on its wings. I challenged myself to paint more loosely for this one – I loved it and hope you will too!
